Memory circuits in the brain,
Like electrical wires 
tangled and cross wired. 
Is that why 
I have trouble 
remembering things? 

Now I can usually remember 
where I placed certain objects such 
as keys, glasses, purse. 
That's no problem. 

I can remember my 
way around town through 
back road and shortcuts. 
No problem there. 

So why can't I remember 
words to music? 
Why is it so difficult to 
memorize the lyrics? 
Of course, being in Latin 
doesn't help. 

There must be a secret to 
memorizing words 
one is not familiar with. 
People do it all the time 
in different languages. 

Come on brain cells, 
do your job! 
Remember the music, 
remember the words! 
You can do it! 
Let's try it again. 

Now where did I put the 
music book?
