My oh my!  I have been enjoying the music and admiring my photos in the carousel and now find myself not wishing to take the time to explain. So expect a rewrite soon.

Not long ago I discovered that most of my prints of photographs taken during that era are rapidly losing their colors. I have no idea about the slides which are stored in outside lockers.  I have set about the task of refurbishing and putting into digital form some of those most precious to me.  I will be uploading some that I find attractive and hope that others may find pleasure, though the memories and the wildness of spirit cannot be conveyed.

During the late sixties and through much of the seventies I and a number of fellow gunners and vagabonders, building dreams of "fragile stuff," spent many summer and even a few winter weeks on various beaches in the Caribbean and Florida (or when in need of food or other forms of succor in my house often crashed our sofas or floor). We have all long since dispersed, most into marriages and children and various careers, dreams modified to satisfy the imperatives of substance. We do still keep the "Christmas card" traditions and memories of other selves that none else know of.

But returning to the photographs; other than the few in which I appear I took the photographs using most of the time Ektachrome transparency or print film. The 35mm with one of two Zeiss SLRs, when they were working, and the others with various fixed focus Kodak ordinary range finders.
